Corporate History

Intematix was founded in March 2000 by Dr. Xiang and Dr. Li both of whom are leading experts in materials design, validation and manufacturing. During its early operations, proprietary design and validation methodologies were developed and refined. The focus of this early innovation was to radically change the speed with which materials could be discovered and moved into high volume manufacturing.

The founders and their team integrated rational design, combinatorial synthesis and validation with an informatics backbone producing a quantum leap forward for materials discovery and manufacturing. Proven by subsequent materials in the lighting, energy and digital imaging markets, the Intematix design methodology was proven to reduce the discovery to manufacturing cycle time to one year from a five to ten year timeframe.

The combination of well tested, patent protected design methods and instruments now allows discovery, proto and large scale manufacturing of critical materials at our facilities in Fremont California.
